Police have busted an online betting racket operating out of Abhay Khand on Thursday night.Ten people have been arrested.

GHAZIABAD: Police have busted an online betting racket operating out of Abhay Khand on Thursday night. Ten people have been arrested. Five LCD TVs, seven mobile phones and Rs 54,000 in cash was recovered from the scene.
Police said the accused used to deal with bets on primarily cricket. "We received a tip off that an online betting racket was operating out of a house owned by Jugal Jatav in Abhay Khand in Indirapuram," said Ajay Pal, SP (City).
"Our team raided the house round 9.50pm and nabbed the 10 accused," he said. Of the ten accused, eight are from Delhi and used to visit the house frequently.
The accused have been identified as Rahul, Alam, Amit, Gyanendra, Sumit, Balwant, Sandeep, Sachin, Raja and Nitin Jaiswal. All are aid to be in their 20s.
"On questioning we found that Balwant was the kingpin who use to organize online betting. We are grilling them to find out more about the operation and their clients," said Gorakhnarh Yadav, SHO, Indirapuram police station.
