A 62-year-old woman has been killed after being hit by a garbage truck in Vancouver Saturday morning.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Kingsway Avenue and E. Broadway just before 9 a.m. The garbage truck was turning right onto Kingsway Avenue when it hit a woman crossing the street.
Vancouver Police say the driver of the truck was visibly shaken but is cooperating with officers. The name of the woman has not yet been released to the public.
An investigation is ongoing.
