Hyderabad: Home minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy inaugurated the community CCTV and safe colony project at Shri Saibaba Sansthan and Shri Saibaba Nagar in Bagh Amberpet.
29 CCTV cameras costing Rs 12 lakh will be installed as part of this project.
Under this project a CCTV monitoring panel will be made available to the community. The camera feeds will be accessible to members of the residents association on their mobile phones.
Meanwhile, the government on Saturday sanctioned Rs 58 crore to fund the installation of CCTV cameras.
