Miss Dominica 2015, Odessa Elie, has secured the First Runner Up position in the Miss Carival Pageant held in St. Vincent on Friday night.
She also recieved an award for the Best Interview segment of the show.
Dominica has won the title for the last two years: Leslassa Armour-Shillingford in 2013 and Francine Baron in 2014.
De Yonte Mayers of St. Vincent captured the crown, ending a six-year dearth during which the crown was not won by a Vincentian.
She won the Swimwear, Talent and Evening Gown segments of the pageant.
Second Runner Up position went to Miss Barbados, Heidi Barrow.
A total of 10 regional countries competed in the pageant.
Miss Carival was first staged in 1985.
She represented well. Ms. Baptist Miss Carival Pageant and ended up walking away with all the other regional crowns so Ms. Odessa trust and believe the rest of the titles are yours. Hold strong my dear

This young lady is so classy. She represented Dominica very well. I am proud of her. Personally she did everything possible to win this crowd and she deserved that crown.. Odessa Dominica loves you. You are our Miss Carival.
I suspect they just did not want to give it to Dominica seeing we one two years in a row. lol She will still be our queen and she did well. There are other pageants, which I know for sure she is going to bring a crown back home to Dominica. Congratulations Odessa and continue to shine.
