BHOPAL: Chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Tikamgarh on Friday issued an arrest warrant against BJP MLA KK Shrivastava in connection with a case of assault on former CEO of panchayat Udairaj Singh six months ago.
On June 18 this year, the court had directed police to declare the MLA as absconder as he was not present in any hearing.
Shrivastava was charged under Section 365 (kidnapping), Section 353 (obstructing government employees' work and Section 392 (robbery) of the IPC, all non-bailable crimes.

Police, however, dropped the charge of robbery against Shrivastava after recovery of former CEO's mobile phone from his son, MLA's counsel said.
Last month, session's court had rejected Shrivastav's bail application. Shrivastava's counsel KK Bhatt said, "The police did not serve any notice to my client and challan was put up in the court."
CJM Ramji Gupta issued warrant against Shrivastava and five others, including MLA's gunner Kripal Singh.
The next hearing of the case will be held on July 7.
On June 18, the CJM had directed police to declare the MLA an absconder and attach his property.
During hearing, former CEO's lawyer said none of the accused has been arrested. Singh said Shrivastava and accused should be arrested as members of his family were being threatened.
After confrontation with the MLA six months ago, Udairaj had accused Shrivastava of thrashing him, snatching of his mobile and kidnapping him from his office in his car.
