55 students take admission in GSVM medical college on Friday

As many as 55 medical aspirants took admission in Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial (GSVM) Medical College on Friday. On the last day of admission, 53 girl students and 2 boys from other categories took admission.

KANPUR: As many as 55 medical aspirants took admission in Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial (GSVM) Medical College on Friday. On the last day of admission, 53 girl students and 2 boys from other categories took admission.
According to GSVM’s admission coordinator, Dr RP Sharma, during the three-day admission session, a total of 158 medical aspirants took admission in the medical college.
“A total of 53 students took admission on the first day while 50 and 53 took admission on the second and the third day of the session respectively. The admission process included verification of all documents of the students and biometric testing,” he said.
A total of 168 MBBS seats were to be filled through CPMT counselling, out of which 158 have been blocked. The rest 22 seats of GSVM medical college are reserved for AIPMT qualifiers. The admission coordinator informed that the second and third counselling for the left out students would be conducted soon, following which the new session will begin from September 1.
