My husband doesn't watch my shows: Bhavna

Looks like Bhavna Balakrishnan is happy hosting the reality show Super Singer that is aired on a popular television channel. While most of her shoots are scheduled in Chennai, the passionate anchor flies down all the way from Mumbai on a regular basis to be part of the shows. “I constantly travel between the two cities, and spend most of my life at airports.I come to Chennai to host a lot of cor porate events, too. My husband Nikhil often jokes that he lives in Mumbai and I just visit him like a guest,“ says Bhavna, adding, “I am so passionate about what I do. In fact, that's the reason why travelling never tires me.“
Ask her whether her husband has appreciated her work on TV and she says, “He hasn't watched even one show of mine. He doesn't like when I am made fun of. But he always hears about my work and suggests ideas.
Though my family keeps reminding me that they are the ones who chose him for me (ours is an arranged marriage) -I doubt if I could have found someone like him on my own.“
Any plans to sign films? “Actually , I know a lot of VJs who say that they don't have any plans to do films and end up signing projects. Though I am not keen on doing commercial films, I always wanted to do crossover films. I am also learning jewellery designing now, and am already into a sari business with mom.“ What about children? “First we must get the confidence that we can be good par ents,“ she laughs.
