Convene Assembly to present demands for grants: Stalin

July 04, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:56 am IST - CHENNAI:

DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin on Friday urged the State government to convene the Assembly to present the demands for grants for various departments.

In a statement here, he said it is 100 days since the budget was presented, the demands for grants for other departments had not been submitted for discussion.

“This has led to a situation where schemes for various departments cannot be implemented. The AIADMK government has made empty announcements and its failure to present grants for various department has totally crippled the administration,” Mr. Stalin said, accusing the State government of not giving a proper explanation for the delay.

Alleging that the State government had scant regard for bureaucracy, judiciary and media, Mr. Stalin said it had diminished the importance of Assembly too.
