Captain of Argentina's Davis Cup team Daniel Orsanic announced on Friday the players who will face Serbia in the quarter-finals of the tennis tournament.

The team includes Leonardo Mayer (world No. 21), Diego Schwartzmann (64), Federico Delbonis (73) and Carlos Berlocq (121) according to the Argentine Tennis Association (AAT).

Orsanic is continuing with the team that won against Brazil 3-2 in February during the first round of the most important international team event in men's lawn tennis.

Argentina captain had hoped to count on Juan Monaco (35) but the former top 10 player announced on Thursday he would have to withdraw from the competition due to an injured right wrist.

U.S. Open 2009 champion Juan Martin del Potro will also miss the tournament due to a recent surgery for his ongoing left wrist injury.

Therefore 28-year-old Mayer will lead the South American team in the singles while Schwartzmann will be the number two.

It is probable that Delbonis and Berlocq will participate in the doubles however this could be changed depending on the results from the first day of the series.

Argentina will host Serbia from July 17 to 19 at the Tecnopolis in the north of Buenos Aires.

The European team who won the tournament in 2010 is expected to include world number one Novak Djokovic.

The South American side reached the final of the tournament in 1981, 2006, 2008 and 2011 but has never won the traditional tournament. Endi
