ACB seeks HTC data from FSL
HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Forensic Science Laboratory (TSFSL) has reportedly furnished the mirror image copy of data in the HTC phone of Bishop Harry Sebastian, an accused in cash-for-vote case, to the ACB special court. Following this, the ACB has filed a memo in the court to collect the same.
According to sources, during the cash-for-vote trap execution on the last two days of May 2015, ACB authorities seized 14 electronic gadgets, including three iPhones, two Nokia phones, an HTC phone, three Sony digital voice recorders, computer hard disks and CCTV camera recordings, as evidence.

The seized gadgets containing recordings of those involved in the case were then sent to the TSFSL. As the analysis will take a long time, ACB filed a memo in the court seeking a copy of the content in the gadgets in order to transcribe it. Based on the court’s direction, FSL had last week given four hard disks and two CD ROMs having mirror image copies of the evidence to ACB, the sources said.
Though this copy was provided, the lab authorities could not provide copies of the content in some of the gadgets due to unavailability of a particular software. While ACB began transcribing the content, FSL authorities managed to procure latest software tools to make mirror image copies of Sebastian’s dual SIM HTC phone (IMEI numbers 35279506*****76/84) and some other content in the seized gadgets.
On Thursday, FSL furnished the fresh evidence in the form of mirror image copies of the HTC phone to ACB court. On the same day, ACB filed a new memo seeking latest mirror image copies. Sources said they are expecting new evidence by court in two days.
