Two arrested for rape of Class 12 girl in Tamil Nadu

NAMAKKAL: Police arrested two men on Friday for allegedly raping a Class 12 student near Rasipuram in Namakkal district.
The victim, daughter of a labourer at Bodhamalai, is studying at a government school in the same area.
When the girl didn’t return home in the evening on Wednesday, her father searched for her. Later, he lodged a complaint with Namagiripet police.
During investigations, the police found that R Vinoth (23) of Bodhamalai and S Pasupathi alias Saravanan (23), of Kaliamman Kovil Street had abducted her when she was returning home from school. After raping the girl, they left the girl near Vadugam
The police arrested them on Friday morning. During interrogation, they confessed to have committed the crime.
The police registered a case and arrested the Vinoth and Saravanan. Both were remanded in judicial custody.
