Off we go: Essien jets off to pre-season with Panathinaikos

Ghanaian player Michael Essien has travelled with his Panathinaikos club for their pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2015/2016 season.

The former Chelsea, Real Madrid and AC Milan player joined the Greek club last month and has already started fitness training at the club's training complex.

Essien took to Instagram on Friday to share a picture of himself and his Panathinaikos team-mates traveling for their pre-season game against AFC Arhem on Sunday.

The player who left AC Milan for Panathinaikos is in line to make a debut for the Greek club.

Panathinaikos will play Club Brugge after the Arhem game before taking on Ajax in another friendly.
