Woman kills self, 2 kids after quarrel

RAJKOT: In a tragic incident, a 27-year-old woman immolated herself along with her two children in Botad town on Thursday early morning. While the woman died on the spot, the two children died during treatment at a hospital.
The deceased were identified as Meena Dhorajiya and her two sons Sumit (3) and Hardik (1). The incident took place at the woman's home in Shaktipara area in Botad.
According to Botad town police, Meena took the extreme step over domestic issues with her husband.
Meena's husband Bipin Dharajia is engaged in diamond polishing work in Botad town. They had got married four years ago.
"She took her two kids in her lap and then sprinkled kerosene on herself and immolated herself with two kids. She died on the spot while the two kids sustained severe burn injuries and succumbed at a private hospital in Botad," said a Botad police official.
