Human chain agitation demanding establishmentof proposed AIIMS in Pudukottai.

Office-bearers of various service organisations, college students and social workers and volunteers participated in a human chain stir here on Thursday demanding establishment of the proposed All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Pudukottai.

Led by S. Ramadoss, president of the AIIMS Co-ordination Committee, a body constituted to campaign for the cause, the members launched the human chain at two places – one between the Old Bus Stand area and Brindavanam and another from the Palaniappa Corner to Government Headquarters Hospital.

K.H. Saleem, secretary of committee, K. Mohanraj and Ibrahim Babu, both coordinators, participated in the stir.
