Centre delaying formation of separate High Court: TRS

July 03, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - KARIMNAGAR:

TRS Karimnagar MP B. Vinod Kumar launched a scathing attack against the BJP government at the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for delaying the formation of separate High Court for Telangana.

He also threatened to launch a series of agitations and obstruct the Parliament proceedings, which will begin on July 21, along with other opposition parties, who are also gearing up to corner the Union Government on various issues.

Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said the Union Government had promised to constitute a separate High Court for Telangana State. But the BJP was succumbing to the pressure from the AP government and delaying the bifurcation of the High Court, he charged. He also found fault with the BJP government for not instructing the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister to identify a place for setting up of High Court.

Condemning the attitude of TDP Kodangal Legislator Revanth Reddy, he said the legislator was threatening the witnesses with his acts after his release from the jail. Zilla Parishad Chairperson Tula Uma, TRS district president Eda Shankar Reddy and others were also present.

We will launch a series of agitations and obstruct Parliament proceedings, which will begin on July 21, if the Centre fails to act
