German benchmark DAX index loses 0.73 pct on Thursday

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Thursday lost 81.15 points, or 0.73 percent, and closed at 11,099.35 points.

The utilities company RWE AG St rose by 4.97 percent. Deutsche Boerse AG advanced by 1.69 percent. The utilities company E.ON SE climbed by1.54 percent. Muenchener Rueck AG, a reinsurance group, gained 0.65 percent and LANXESS AG, a specialty chemicals company went up by 0.58 percent.

K+S Aktiengesellschaft, an agricultural chemical and salt company, lost 2 percent. ThyssenKrupp AG slipped by 1.58 percent. Infineon Technologies AG, a semiconductor company, plunged by 1.4 percent. Daimler AG slid by 1.33 percent and BMW AG St went down by 1.29 percent.

The turnover stood at 3.08 billion euros (around 3.42 billion U.S. dollars). Daimler AG was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 239.4 million euros (around 265.89 million U.S. dollars). Endit
