Review: The soundtrack of light-hearted film Second Hand Husband is by Jatinder Shah who creates music for Punjabi films, along with guest Composers Dr Zeus, Badshah and DJ Flow (who’ve done one song each), with lyrics by Rahul Behenwal, Kumaar, Kuldeep Kandiara and Badshah.Opening song Mitthi Meri Jaan is a Jatinder-composed peppy Punjabi party number, sung by leading man Gippy Grewal and supported by singer Jasmine Sandlas of Yaar Naa Miley (Kick) fame. Bad Baby flows in the usual Badshah style, with beats that sound like a nursery rhyme, and lyrics that border on naughty. Badshah has written, sung and composed this ditty, with able support from Gippy behind the mike. Shifting gears is romantic song Channa, by Jatinder again. Sunidhi Chauhan gets soulful while still keeping the Punjabi feel. Title track Second Hand Husband is an irreverent nonsensical song composed by Dr Zeus. Again, Gippy is more effortless in front of the mike than he is in front of the camera even. However, the track is forgettable. Rabb Jaisa is another Dr Zeus track, this time with singers Ravindra Upadhyay and Amanjot Sangha. Punjabi Singer Labh Janjua, of Mundian To Bach Ke fame, appears on Jawaani Din Char. The Jatinder-composed gaana is all lights and celebration. Tarannum Malik is sprightly with the folksy singing. The soundtrack is a mix of Punjabi dance numbers, with a couple of romantic songs thrown in.
