A batch of 21 aspiring entrepreneurs has passed out from Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Reasi after completing three-week Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP).District Nodal Officer JKEDI Reasi, Virpartap Singh informed that the candidates were trained by a professional team of JKEDI and other organizations. They were exposed to a comprehensive training course to start a profitable business.He added that the candidates   also got an opportunity to visit successful entrepreneurial ventures as part of the training programme.

The candidates received training under Seed Capital Fund Scheme, a key component of the State Government’s Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youth (SKEWPY) and Youth Start-Up Loan Scheme being implemented by JKEDI, added Singh.Singh said that the educated unemployed youths of district who successfully completed their training under this programme will be financed by JKEDI to start their business units in services, manufacturing, agriculture and allied sectors.
