$15 million lottery ticket pays off for group in Hanover

Only one $15 million ticket remains in the Massachusetts Lottery’s World Class Millions game after a group of unidentified people claimed the third of four prizes offered, the Massachusetts Lottery announced Wednesday.

The prize was claimed by the WCM Nominee Trust of Hanover, whose members have yet to be publicly identified. A trustee and representative for the group, David Spillane, collected the one-time payment of $9.75 million in cash, officials said.

The $30 ticket was from the World Class Millions game, which offers the largest prize among Lottery scratch tickets.

The ticket was purchased at Uxbridge Liquors at 158 North Main St. in Uxbridge, and the store received a $50,000 retailer bonus for selling the ticket, the Massachusetts Lottery said.
