‘Ram naam’ is Faisal’s link with divinity
ALLAHABAD: Faisal Khan is an ardent Muslim. He religiously observes Roza during the holy month of Ramzan.
In free time, he writes the name of Lord Rama in Hindi, English and Urdu daily. It has been a part of his daily routine for the last 10 years.
He offers namaz five times a day and also recites shlokas and mantras of Bhagvad Gita confidently. “Every religion says that good karma and salvation can be attained only by good deeds,” he says.
He has been a regular at Magh Mela, Ardh Kumbh and Kumbh in the last 10 years and actively participates in Ram Navmi celebrations.
He is an active member of Ram Naam Bank and can write Lord Rama’s name with both right and left hands. “I have already written Lord’s name over a million times,” he says.
“Writing Lord Rama’s name gives me a sense of complete surrender to inner conscience and peace.
All my senses are engaged in the service of the Lord,” says Faisal adding, “Writing Lord Rama’s name links my inner self with the divine.”
“I have been writing Lord Rama’s name for the past 10 years and depositing it with Ram bank. Doing so brings about a calmness and ensures positivity, clarity of mind, tolerance and power to withstand obstacles throughout the life,” he explains.

“Gita, Quran sab ek saman, ise padhe har insan – na dharm se na jaat se, hamari pehchan ho insan se (Gita and Quran are equal. Every human being should read them. Instead of caste and religion, we all should be identified as humans), he says adding “Every religion teaches good things and we must adopt good karma as this will give purity to our mind,” he added.
“About 10 years back, I read an article wherein it was said that you could get inner satisfaction by writing the name of Lord Rama” says Faisal and adds, “After reading it, I came in contact with my guru Ashutosh Varshney. Since then, I have been writing the name of Lord Rama in Hindi, Urdu and English”.
“Writing the name has brought about several positive changes in my life. I got surprising opportunities in my life and profession. I also shared my experiences with my friends and relatives,” he adds.
Varshney, meanwhile, says, “The name of Lord Rama forms never-ending stream of ecstasy and it’s the name which also gives you more opportunities and prosperity.”
