Alok Nath drew much flak over the tweet where he had called a social activist, a ‘b***h,’ for questioning Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s selfie campaign, featuring fathers and daughters. Explaining his reason behind doing the same, Alok Nath says, it was spur-of-the moment as he was very upset when the lady called the prime minister a ‘stalker.’ He says that she had no business to be so crass and disrespectful to a man who holds the highest office in the land and that according to him the idea of fathers posting selfies with daughters was just so fabulous. Alok Nath had tweeted, “jail the bitch.” [sic] However, the post was later deleted. Explaining the reason for the same, Alok says, that he had reacted as a huge fan of Narendra Modi and as the father of a daughter, who had just posted a picture at the PM’s request. He asserts that When he read the lady’s ‘stalker’ comment, he was shocked, disgusted and reacted emotionally. He rues using strong and harsh words and says that he immediately regretted his impulsive response and deleted the tweet. But it was too late.
