About 8 days ago, Indian Navy and Coast Guard had rescued 14 crew members including the master of MV Coastal Pride, a cement carrier ship which sank 24 nautical miles south of Daman.

Sea King took off from Mumbai at 8.00 am and rescued 6 crew members. Two Coast Guard Chetaks took off from Daman at 8.40 am and rescued 8.

MV Coastal Pride was a cement carrier. All crew members were safely evacuated to Umar Gaon in south Gujarat.

Now after more than a week, the ship has surfaced at Daman coast. Hundreds of people are visiting the ship which is lying in upside-down condition at sea shore.
