NAGPUR: Young Indian shuttlers started well in the individual events of the Junior (U-19) Asian Badminton Championship at the CPB Badminton Training Center in Bangkok, Thailand on Wednesday.
RESULTS (Round 1):
U-19 boys singles: Daniel S Farid bt Seung Gyu Baek (Kor) 21-18, 17-21, 21-13.
U-19 girls singles: G Vrushali bt Chow King Ling (HK) 21-15, 21-17; Sri Krishna Priya K bt Madina Smagulova (Kaz) 21-5, 21-6; Shreyanshi Pardeshi lost to Thamolwan Poopradubsil (Tha) 21-23, 16-21.

U-19 mixed doubles: Saurabh Sharma-D Pooja bt Jian Liang Lee-Jia Ying Crystal Wong (Sin) 21-13, 22-20.
U-19 boys doubles: Rohan Kapoor-Saurabh Sharma bt Dakshika Gunatilleke-Mahen Anjana Samaranayake (Lanka) 15-21, 21-12, 21-13; Kapil Chaudhary-Chandrabhusan Tripathi lost to Jun Liang Andy Kwek-Wen Xing Abel Tan (Sin) 21-23, 19-21.
