‘Maha Ganapathy Homams’

The annual special ‘Maha Ganapathy Homams’ will be performed at Sengalipuram for the prosperity of the people for seven days during July-August.

The homams would be performed in the Tamil month of ‘Aadi’ on July 17, 20, 24, 31, August 3, 7 and 14 on the premises of Sri A.Advarapathy Dikshithar, Agnihothri and Mantramoorthy of Sengalipuram who hail from the family of late Anantharama Dikshithar, eminent Vedic scholar and exponent in religious discourses.

Besides, several other poojas and homams including Dharana Saraswathi Mahamanthra Japa homam and Medha Sooktha japam will be performed. According to Sri Advarapathy Dikshithar, Sri ‘Maha Ganapathy Homam’ is being performed every year for the past few decades by Vedic scholars adhering to the principles of late Anantharama Dikshithar.
