Kuwait martyrs created patriotic epic - PM

KUWAIT, July 1 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah expressed deep pain and sorrow towards Kuwaiti victims who died in the "terrorist crime" that targeted Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Al-Sawaber area in Kuwait City on June 26th which resulted in 26 Martyrs and injuring some 227 others.
His Highness the Premier made his remarks Wednesday during his speech at the conclusion of the Parliament's third session of the 14th legislative term.
"We meet today at the conclusion of the third session of the 14th legislative term with our hearts aching with pain, sorrow and grief towards the catastrophe of our fellow citizens and families, who were murdered by the hand of sin, hostility and crime while they were in praying time facing the Holy Kaaba, bowing down to Allah almighty and fasting on Friday of the Holy Month of Ramadan," His Highness the Premier noted.
He also affirmed that Kuwait's martyrs have created with their precious blood a great patriotic epic that was led by His Highness the Amir, who left everything behind and ignored all security precautions and concerns, particularly the incident's circumstances and fallout, as well as all its probabilities and considerations in order to be present at the incident scene with his fellow citizens, setting by that an example a true wisdom, leadership, and fatherhood.
In return, the Kuwaiti people, from all ethnicities and backgrounds gathered around their leader His Highness the Amir as one nation in a genuine patriotic scene that will always remain an example of national unity, consolidation and compassion for all countries, peoples and nations around the world, he added.
His Highness the Premier also praised all efforts exerted by security officers and personnel in disclosing threads leading to the crime and tracking down the criminals within a record time, reflecting their efficiency, readiness, and loyalty.
He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all state ministries and their various bodies for their efforts in dealing with the incident.
His Highness the Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to all Kuwaiti citizens who interacted with the incident with bravery, high spirit of responsibility, and great sense of pure patriotism, adding that they provided a great deal of aid and assistance to state authorities.
He also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Parliament Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim for his wise leadership and patience in managing the action in the Parliament, adding that Al-Ghanim's efforts played a significant role in overcoming obstacles, solving issues, and attaining achievements.
His Highness also thanked all experts, consultants, and researchers whose opinions, proposals, ideas, and efforts contributed in attaining these achievements.
He also expressed his gratitude to the press and media personnel for practicing their role with high efficiency, neutrality, and transparency, particularly in following the Parliament's sessions. (pickup previous) kt.ma
