DEHRADUN: Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sangathan (KVS) beat Chandrabani Football Club 1-0 in a match in the Ram Bahadur Chettri Memorial Football Tournament played at the FRI ground here today.

Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sangathan (KVS) beat Chandrabani Football Club 1-0 in a match in the Ram Bahadur Chettri Memorial Football Tournament played at the FRI ground here today.

KVS took lead with a goal by Ankit in the 14th minute of the match. They maintained the lead till the end and won the match by the solitary goal.

In another match, Shivalik Club defeated Doon United 3-2 in an exciting contest. Shivalik Club dominated the first half of the match with two goals by Lokesh in the 32nd and 37th minutes, respectively. However, in the second half Doon United tried to regain ground and was tied 2-2 with two goals by Amit and Sanjay in the 50th and 52nd minutes, respectively. While the game was moving towards a draw, Manish scored a goal in the 55th minute for Shivalik Club to seal the victory for his team.
