Shilpa Shetty Kundra rejects US TV show

News is that Bollywood actress-turned reality show judge Shilpa Shetty Kundra was offered a role in the American series ‘The Royals’ season two. But the actress has turned down the offer in order to take care of her toddler and spend more time with him.
A source close to the actress revealed that though Shilpa liked her character she rejected the international show to be with son Viaan. The source said, “She was offered a pivotal role, and she liked the character and the script as well.Shilpa had initially requested them (the show’s makers) to wait until she checks her schedule. But later, she rejected the offer, saying that she had to take care of her son, along with some other commitments regarding her fashion label.”

Shilpa was last seen on the small screen as a judge on the dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ where she is replaced by actress Preity Zinta this season. It is noted that Shilpa rose back to fame by winning the international reality show ‘Big Brother’ and since then there has been no looking back for her on television.
Had Shilpa taken up the offer of starring in ‘The Royals’ she would have had two shooting schedules this year. The shooting would have started in mid-July and the second one would have been in August. Talking about it the source further added revealed, “It was not possible for her to travel abroad during that period. The makers, too, could not delay the filming schedule, and thus the project didn’t work out for her.”
