Fiat 500 headed for SA

FIAT is giving its little 500 a makeover and an undisguised version was spotted at the automaker’s factory in Turin, Italy.

The “new” 500 is expected to arrive in South Africa in early 2016.

The car will have modified head and tail lights and reshaped bumpers. The interior is expected to sport minor changes such as new trim, smoother leather and an updated tech.

Engines and mechanicals are likely to remain unchanged.

The face-lifted Fiat 500 will make its official debut at the September 2015 Frankfurt auto show.
