CPM must go on vanavas: AK Antony

Antony opined that the stage has come for the CPM to go on political vanavas

New Delhi: Senior Congress leader A. K. Antony has said the CPM’s political base has eroded and even if they change, they can’t come back to power. UDF candidate K. S. Sabarinadhan’s victory is a concerted effort of the Congress and the UDF.

Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Antony opined that the stage has come for the CPM to go on political vanavas. He also praised the voters for coming out in huge numbers to thebooths braving heavy rain.

“The CPM will not be able to salvage their party from disintegration even if they try to reform themselves. The CPM has no relevance in Kerala politics as it is practising the politics of rejection.” People has rejected the CPM which goes about with hollow claims and worn-out ideologies,” said Antony.

“Sabarinathan’s victory is also a warning to the government that they should move forward with development agenda. This was the highest respects that could have been paid to G. Karthikeyan,” Antony added.
