Devaluing LeBron James is a common theme among Internet trolls these days. We're not calling Scottie Pippen an Internet troll, but these comments aren't exactly sound.

In an interview with the Northeast Ohio Media Group, Pippen admitted he feels like he deserves more credit when the masses bring on LeBron comparisons.

"I'm no slouch, but when comparing LeBron's game, I'm usually left out," he said.

...

"They want to compare him to the greatest whether it be Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson, but he's more closer to myself," Pippen said. "It's natural for folks to say that, but if you look at how he plays the game and how I played the game, you'll see more similarities with us."

Pippen and James are similar in the sense that both are versatile, but that's about where the comparisons end. The two primary comparison targets -- Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson -- are pretty much on target. LeBron is the greatest player of his generation like Michael was, and is dominant in almost every facet of the game, like Magic was.

Pippen does deserve credit -- he's one of the best players to suit up in the 1990s and a truly versatile player for years. But nah, he wasn't LeBron James.
