Former dean falls off building, dies

Retired Deputy Dean of Sion Hospital Dr Umesh Pai (58) was found dead in his building complex at Parel on Tuesday evening. He accidentally fell from the 5th floor, said relatives. He was said to be under psychiatric treatment.

According to sources, his building is in a lane close to KEM hospital. Dr Suleman Merchant, Dean at Sion hospital, said, “He was a intelligent and honest.” He is survived by his wife.
