Egyptian policeman killed by unidentified gunmen in Helwan - police

CAIRO, June 30 (KUNA) -- Unidentified gunmen opened fire on Tuesday at an Egyptian policeman outside a wax museum and suspected militants were killed in a car explosion in a suburb of the Egyptian capital on Tuesday, police said.
A police source told the Middle East News Agency that the policeman was killed when the security authorities were guarding the wax museum in Helwan when a car driven by unidentified gunmen opened random fire before fleeing the scene.
The attack came a day after prosecutor general Hisham Barakat was killed in a car bombing in Cairo, prompting President Abdelfatah al-Sisi to pledge tough new laws to fight extremist militants.(end) esm.tg
