Karthi worked with director Ranjith in Madras, which won four awards at the Filmfare Awards recently. The actor, who won the Critics Best Actor Award for his performance in the film, was candid backstage and talked about Rajinikanth���s next film, which is going to be directed by his Madras director. ���When Ranjith called and told me that he will be directing our Superstar next, I was really happy for him.Being an ardent fan, I have always wanted to see Thalaivar in a different shade and I am confident Ranjith is the right person for Thalaivar,��� he said.
