CHANDIGARH: In an unprecedented move, Parkash Singh Badal government on Tuesday called for a list to be prepared on corrupt officers and officials in the state.
The explicit written instructions were sent all the department to list out officials and officers with "dubious service record".
The directive was issued on behalf of vigilance department that is headed by the chief minister himself.

The departments have also been instructed that officers with dubious record should not be posted on any sensitive seat.
The instructions further sought that departments to submit the list to the competent authorities to initiate action against them.
The instructions were sent to chief vigilance officers of all the departments and in the offices of commissioners and deputy commissioners
"It has been reiterated that all chief vigilance officers (CVOs) were duty bound to detect corruption and corrupt officers in their respective department, make a list of corrupt officers who enjoyed bad reputation," said the note.
"It has been instructed to them that they have to ensure effective supervision of such corrupt officials, officers besides regulating their postings so that they do not have any chance to indulge into corruption" it added.
