PARK CITY, Utah, June 30 (UPI) -- A Utah RC enthusiast whose miniature planes were repeatedly attacked by a dive-bombing hawk recorded the bird's attacks with onboard cameras.

The YouTube user behind the rctestflight channel posted a video explaining his RC planes were frequently being attacked by a hawk at the Park City park where he creates most of his test flight videos.

The user said the hawk was apparently "not to keen on RC aviation" so the man and his friends "decided to mount some cameras on board to see if we could get any good shots of him."

The cameras recorded the hawk repeatedly dive-bombing the plane, scoring hits including one direct blow to a GoPro camera.

The camera ended up pointed straight up, but did not break or come free of the plane.

The man said he took care to make sure his plane did not pose a danger to the bird.

"Once the hawk started to dive, I would cut the throttle to avoid any injury from the prop," he said.
