The US Air Force (USAF) has selected Vectrus’ subsidiary Vectrus Systems as a prime contractor for the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP IV) that is valued at up to $5bn.

Vectrus was one of eight companies selected for this indefinite-delivery / indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract.

Vectrus CEO and president Ken Hunzeker said: "Winning a position on AFCAP IV allows Vectrus to continue executing a long-term strategy that focuses on enhancing our solid foundation, balancing our portfolio and providing more value.

"We look forward to continuing and strengthening our long-term relationship with the air force, and providing innovative and affordable global contingency solutions under AFCAP IV."

This base life and operating support and logistics support-related contract has an estimated completion date of September 2021.

Meanwhile, DynCorp International (DI) has also been selected by the USAF to provide base operations and logistical support services under AFCAP IV.

DI will look for task orders in order to deliver a full range of base life and operating and logistical support on an as-required basis.

The contract is aimed to support the air force, any Department of Defence component, or any US Federal Government entity operating in support of missions that could include National Command Authority.

In addition, the contract will also cover support to joint or combined US Military forces acting as part of or in conjunction with the Nato or multinational forces.

The contracting activity is the 772nd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron, Air Force Installation Contracting Agency, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, US.
