Lalit Modi-accused Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja may have got the clean chit from from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), but it seems like they will pursue the case against a Mumbai Ranji player who allegedly made an offer to a Rajasthan Royals player to fix matches just before the 2015 IPL.

According to a report in The Indian Express , the BCCI has confirmed that their Anti-Corruption & Security Unit (ACSU) will provide an official report on the matter before the domestic season.

An earlier report said that Pravin Tambe was the Rajasthan Royals player who was offered money by a Mumbai teammate to follow a pre-decided pattern of play. However, there has been no confirmation from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) over the people involved in the corruption attempt.

“We have not got any information from the BCCI on this issue. No, we have not asked them. They must have either investigated the thing or are still pursuing the case,” MCA’s joint secretary Dr PV Shetty told PTI earlier.

But a source told The Indian Express that there are assurances from the BCCI over pursuing the matter: “They have assured that the BCCI’s ACSU will pursue the case in earnest and will come out with a report in the coming months to ensure that everything is out in the open, and that the report is made official before the start of the domestic season (October),” the source said.
