Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received the Quality Achievement Award 2015 from the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR), which is based in Lausanne, Switzerland. The award adds to DEWA's roster of local and international awards in quality and excellence. DEWA received the Award at ESQR's annual convention held at the Grange St. Paul's hotel in London, UK, to recognise outstanding international organisation and companies that have proved their excellence in implementing and enhancing quality management. The awards ceremony and gala dinner was attended by a large number of organisations, companies, business leaders, academic experts, quality and excellence professionals, and diplomats from around the world.

"The wise vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai provide the roadmap that guides us in our efforts to achieve the highest levels of quality and excellence in all areas of our work. It makes a positive contribution to quality culture through its annual conventions and award ceremonies in major cities around the world. The award recognises excellence, disseminates innovation and visionary thinking, spreads knowledge, shares conformity assessment practices and facilitates networking. ESQR's awards are based on the results of polls, consumer opinion research and market study, research of public information sources, publications through different channels including its website, to evaluate the achievements of organisations, companies and individuals in quality and excellence.
