DIK police harass family, torch house of suspect wanted in drug case

The officers entered into the house without arrest warrant, said eye-witnesses.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Dunya News) – Police officers on Tuesday have harassed the family members including women of a suspect wanted in robbery case and scorched his house during search operation in Dera Ismail Khan, Dunya News reported.

As per details, the security officers acting on the directives of Senior House Officer (SHO) Sabir Baloch raided the house of bandit Jamshed, wanted in dacoity case, in Bilot Sharif area of DIK and attempted to arrest him. The criminal’s family alleged police officers of harassing and threatening the women and children and reached the office of Deputy Police Officer (DPO) Dera Sadiq Balock seeking justice.

On the other hand, SHO Sabir stated that Jamshed was a drug dealer and was involved in different criminal activities.

However, the eye-witnesses told the sources that police officers entered into the house after smacking the door and torched the house items.
