Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has been talking about the Phase Three films under the Marvel Cinematic Universe as of late. Recently, he shared some details about the studios plans for the “Spider-Man” reboot.

Kevin Feige was asked about the “Spider-Man” reboot during the recent press junket for “Ant-Man” held over the weekend on Saturday, June 27. Devin Faraci from Birth.Movies.Death asked for details on how the new film will differ from its predecessors. Feige revealed that aside from the new Peter Parker, there will be other new faces in the film. When asked whether the film will bring back familiar villains such as the Green Goblin, Feige replied, “Right now we’re interested in seeing villains we haven’t seen before.”

Feige reportedly considered it an advantage that the Spider-Man comics have introduced different types of villains. This way the studio is given more leeway in choosing which of these new villain faces will be featured in the reboot.

In an interview with Zap2it, Kevin Feige also talked about how “very different” Marvel’s Spider-Man will be from its film predecessors. "It's the first time that you'll be able to see Spider-Man like he was in the comics, as a very different type of hero when compared to the other heroes in the universe,” he said.

He also revealed some details about Spider-Man’s presence in “Captain America: Civil War.” He explained how Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man will relate to the Avengers.

“Up until this point in the other Spidey films, he was the only hero, and now he's not. Now he's a kid in Queens with these powers and has other [superheroes] to look to,” he added.

Kevin Feige also revealed the studio’s inspiration for creating a different Spider-Man. According to Zap2it, Peter Parker’s story will also deal with superhero ideologies, something that Stan Lee and Steve Ditko have told in their comics.

Tom Holland will play as the new Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man. He is expected to have a cameo appearance in “Captain America: Civil War” for the web crawler's debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He will next appear as the titular hero in the 2017 “Spider-Man” reboot.
