PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Monday promoted 49 judicial officers, including 17 additional district and sessions judges, 15 senior civil judges and 17 civil judges.

The PHC’s Registrar Mohammad Ayub Khan issued three separate notifications announcing the promotions of the judicial officers. These promotions have been made on the recommendations of the promotion/administration committee in exercise of the powers conferred by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Services Rules, 2001.

The additional district and sessions judges (ADSJs) (BPS-20) promoted to the post of district and sessions judges (DSJs) (BPS-21) are: Aurangzeb Khattak, Ms Nusrat Yasmeen, Mohammad Aamir Nazir, Syed Kamal Hussain Shah, Aurangzeb, Syed Aqeel Shah, Ashfaque Taj, Sohail Sheraz Noor Sani, Ms Muneera Abbasi, Syed Anees Badshah Bukhari, Aamir Nazir Bhatti, Rozina Rehman, Asad Hameed Bangash, Mohammad Naseem, Tahir Mehmood, Aftab Afridi and Mohammad Arshad.

The senior civil judges (SCJs) (BPS-19) promoted to the post of ADSJs are: Ajmal Shah, Mohammad Arif Khan, Ali Gohar, Shaukat Ahmad Khan, Ms Sumera Wali, Ahmad Iftikhar, Dost Mohammad Khan, Tanveer Iqbal, Asad Ali, Ms Farzina Shahid, Aurangzeb Khan, Ishfaq Ali Haider, Ihteshamul Haq Danishmand Khan, Ms Zeba Rasheed and Ms Aalia Sadia Lodhi.

Similarly, the promoted civil judges (BPS-18) to the post of SCJs are: Shah Hussain, Ms Sadia Andaleeb, Ms Nusrat Naz, Mohammad Asim, Arbab Sohail Hamid, Ms Shabana Mehsood, Ms Nadia Syed, Ms Wadeeya Mushtaq Malik, Tufail Ahmad, Ms Lubna Zaman, Syed Iftikhar Shah, Ms Hussan Bano, Syed Hamid Qasim, Ms Saima Asim, Ajmal Tahir, Abid Zaman and Ahmad Ahsanullah Qureshi.
