Govt. has failed on all fronts, says BJP Yuva Morcha

June 30, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - HUBBALLI:

Alleging that the Congress government had failed in every sphere of governance, members of the BJP Yuva Morcha conducted a mock funeral of the Chief Minister and the government here on Monday.

It was organised by the Hubballi-Dharwad East Assembly segment of the organisation. They took out a procession from Durgad Bail and concluded at Kittur Chennamma Circle. The protesters raised slogans against the government and held placards seeking resignation of Minor Irrigation Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi.

On reaching the Kittur Chennamma Circle, they staged a demonstration and burnt an effigy.

BJP office-bearers Mahesh Tenginakai and Lingaraj Patil; the former MLAs Virabhadrappa Halaharavi and Ashok Katwe; and Yuva Morcha leader Jagadish Bullanavar were present.

Vehicular movement on the busy central district was affected for some time and Kittur Chennamma Circle remained blocked for a few minutes.
