Imagine if a car racing at 195.2 km/h crashed into the middle of another car! On June 29th, the Nanjing police department released updated details of the investigation into the high-profile hit-and-run that took place on June 20th. According to the police department, Wang Jijin, suspected driver of the BMW, was driving at 195.2 km/h when the car smashed a Mazda into pieces and flung its rear half up into the sky. Two people in the Mazda were killed on the spot.

The police department affirmed that Wang Jijin is fully responsible for the accident and will be officially arrested. Wang is now under custody.

The police department once claimed that Wang was "indeed driving faster than the car flow, but he was not racing". There was public suspicion that the police department had been trying to cover for the suspect.
