Donald Trump has been saying dumb and offensive things for years, but suddenly NBC is aquiver because he said a dumb, offensive thing about Mexican immigrants and will end its business relationship with him as a result.
So apparently there are limits to what even a network will tolerate from someone who helps to fill its coffers.
What Trump said, in his so-called presidential kickoff speech, is that Mexican immigrants are “bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists and some, I assume, are good people.”
“Some,” huh? He “assumes.”
Even the most ardent anti-immigration advocates usually acknowledge that most immigrants merely want to improve their lives. But Trump is too busy putting his foot in his mouth to notice.
