Schools to alter timings to reduce traffic jams
LUCKNOW: The district administration has decided to change the closure timings by approximately 30 minutes of prominent schools on the busy MG Marg located on main roads to decongest traffic.
Lucknow divisional commissioner Mahesh Gupta said, “Administration is taking short-term and long-term measures altering school timings as well as implementing one-way traffic and road diversions.” He added that effective enforcement was essential and orders had been issued to complete the necessary construction work without delay.

The Triloknath Road tri-section located at the junction of BJP office and Capitol cinema hall would be monitored specifically.
Administration has also requested schools to “accommodate” vans on school ground, at least 15 minutes before school gets over, allowing children to board them on the campus and leave in a systematic manner.
This would also ensure safety of children and traffic jams on main road outside the school would be avoided.
District magistrate Raj Shekhar said, “Schools should ensure traffic jams do not take place outside the school premises, especially when they start or get over.”
He added that this is mentioned in their NOC recommendation issued for their Board affiliation.
