Govt school principals and students felicitated

The Council for Teacher Education (CTE), an international private organization of teachers, recently felicitated principals and students of government-run schools for the success in this year’s Class-X boards with cent per pass percentage.

GUWAHATI: The Council for Teacher Education (CTE), an international private organization of teachers, recently felicitated principals and students of government-run schools for the success in this year’s Class-X boards with cent per pass percentage. It was an event jointly organized by the inspector of schools, Kamrup (Metro).
Professor Nilima Bhagabati international secretary general of CTE, inaugurated the event lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The event was kicked off with a song by Jayanta Sarma of TC School, Guwahati.
Nilima talked about the objectives of the programme and told the audience how CTE is working both nationally and internationally to raise the quality of teaching community. The national certificate of appreciation and merit were distributed among the principals and the meritorious students. The chief guest, Kamal Jyoti Gogoi, is also the inspector of schools of Kamrup (Metro) district that primarily covers Guwahati city. He elaborated on how the government-run schools had achieved academic success this year and discussed the strategies undertaken to enhance the academic performance from next year.
Educationist Suchitra Kakoty was the guest of honour who wowed the students with her motivational speech.
