    Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan reviewed the works going on for the Kumbh mela to be held here next month.

    NASHIK: Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan reviewed the works going on for the Kumbh mela to be held here next month.

    He also met Shri Panchdasham Juna Akhada's general secretary Mahant Harigiri Maharaj who had on Saturday threatened to boycott the mela while expressing disappointment over the arrangements for the event, especially constructing of sheds and toilets.

    Mahajan, who is also the Guardian Minister of Nashik, met him yesterday at Trimbakeshwar, about 30 kms from here.

    The seer expressed satisfaction after meeting the minister.

    Nashik Collector Dipendrasinh Kushwaha, BJP MLA from Nashik Balasaheb Sanap and DSP Sanjay Mohite were also present at the meeting.

    Meanwhile, the minister also urged the saints of several other akhadas to cooperate with the government in making the Kumbh mela successful.

    Mahajan also reviewed the works going on for the event during his visit.
