Superstar Mahesh Babu's Brahmotsavam, which is his second film with filmmaker Srikanth Addala, is all set to go on floors next month. During the film's launch recently, it was announced that Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Pranitha Subhash are already part of the project and the hunt for a third heroine was underway. Now, it has been confirmed that Kajal Aggarwal will be playing one of the leading ladies in the film. Talking to Mirror, Kajal confirmed that she's part of the project and refused to divulge more information.
“At the moment, I'm not supposed to talk about my role. I'm excited to be working with Mahesh again,“ she said. Mahesh and Kajal had previously worked in Puri Jagannadh's Businessman.
Tipped to be a family entertainer along the lines of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC), the film marks the second time combination of Mahesh and director Addala.“Following the success of Seethamma... Mahesh had expressed interest to work with Srikanth again. He was very particular to work in another family entertainer and requested Addala to write another good script for him. It took him nearly a year to write another family-based story to convince Mahesh to team up again,“ a source told Mirror. The film is being produced by PVP Cinema, and apparently they've been eyeing to do a project with Mahesh for quite some time.“After Reliance Entertainment and Eros International, PVP Cinema is one of the leading production companies that have been desperately waiting for an opportunity to work with Mahesh. Soon after SVSC, they got in touch with Addala and roped him in a film that'll eventually be made with Mahesh,“ the source added.

This will be the third time Samantha and Mahesh are teaming up after Dookudu and SVSC. Initially, there were plans to import somebody from Bollywood, but it was Mahesh who insisted that he'll work with actresses who have been accepted by his fans. “Mahesh is very particular that his pair in his films is well received by his fans. After the debacle of 1: Nenokkadine, which featured Kriti Sanon, Mahesh was unhappy with the fact audiences didn't like his pair.
Hence, he's made it a point to work with heroines who are popular and those who've preferably worked with him in the past,“ the source said. Meanwhile, Mahesh is busy promoting is upcoming release Srimanthudu with director Koratala Siva.
