Puneeth’s 25th film: Rachita Ram replaces Pallavi Subhash

Puneeth Rajkumar’s 25th film, which has been titled as Chakravyuha, sees a change of heroine for the second time. Kannada girl Rachita Ram has been chosen as the heroine for the Saravanan-directed film. She replaces Marathi and TV actress Pallavi Subhash as the heroine.
When contacted, the film’s producer Lohith confirmed the news saying, “Pallavi shot for a couple of days. When Saravanan saw the rushes on the editing table, he wasn’t impressed.” Saravanan adds, “It is a very important character and I felt it would be better if we cast someone who knows the language.” The makers add that Rachita’s recent good run at the box office also worked in her favour.
Incidentally, Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa, the first heroine to be signed on for this role, but she was replaced by Pallavi after her look test turned out to be unimpressive. Let’s now see if Rachita proves to be lucky, given Puneeth’s R connection (remember Rakshitha, Ramya and Radhika Pandit?) with Kannadiga heroines.
