Former Uttar Pradesh minister and BSP spokesman Sudhir Goyal registered an FIR against the principal and a clerk of the DU college where he is a professor. The case filed at northwest Delhi’s Bharat Nagar last week alleged forgery, cheating and breach of trust.
Goyal, an associate professor, alleges that the principal and a clerk had taken an advance of Rs 10,000 from the accounts department under Goyal’s name, using forged documents without his knowledge.

The politician claims the police took six months to register the FIR, and only after a court directive was issued to them. “I approached the station house officer of Bharat Nagar police station as well as the DCP (northwest)
N Gnanasambandan in November last year. But no case was registered. I then moved a lower court and the High Court, after which the lower court directed the police on March 26, 2015 to register an FIR against the accused persons,” Goyal said.
Gnanasambandan confirmed that a case had been registered against a DU college principal. “No arrests have been made and investigations are on. We had not received the March court order till this month,” he said.
Goyal had earlier registered an FIR against the clerk in a Noida police station for stealing a pen drive, which he claimed contained information regarding the inquiry into admissions under the sports quota in the college in February 2012.
